We are actively seeking the following positions at this time;

GRAPHIC DESIGNER – MAGAZINE, PRINT & WEB

We are located at Thornton (approx 15-20 minutes from Newcastle) and we are looking for a creative and talented Graphic Designer with a minimum 2-3 years design experience with a good eye for detail. This is a permanent full-time position focussing mainly on our bi-annual bridal magazine ‘Your Hunter Valley Wedding Planner’. You will also create corporate ID, brochures, POS, email marketing campaigns, websites, etc…

Requirements

• A highly creative mind and excellent technical skills
• You must have a minimum of 2-3 years agency/studio experience
• Excellent skills in Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
• A high level of accuracy and a critical eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Enthusiastic and highly self motivated with a positive attitude
• Sound understanding of pre-press requirements
• Ability to work well in a small team and individually when required
• Good time management skills for working on multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Flexibility in work hours allowing deadlines to be met

Responsibilities will include:

• Undertake design jobs from concept to finished art
• Collaboration with other designers, project manager and production co-ordinator
• Taking design briefs from clients plus frequent client correspondence
• Magazine layouts along with various print and web work
• Styling and organising photo shoots

Highly Recommended Skills

• Web design experience
• Knowledge of Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS & Flash
• Previous magazine experience

Salary package will be reflective of experience level. Successful applicants will be required to take an in-house design test prior to employment.
